Lasts 8+ minutes with a consistent clean flame

This tumbleweed fire starter ignited easily and immediately with a single match. My 40-second video was a time-lapse of 8-9 minutes of it burning steadily the entire time, with a small breeze.I love that it’s eco-friendly. Made from natural materials (pine and wax), it burns cleanly without releasing harmful chemicals into the air, or into your food if you’re using it for a grill. The description claims no smoke which is mostly true but there was some smoke for 30 seconds or so after it went out. This is a great product and the compact size makes it super convenient to throw a bunch into a ziplock bag to take along on camping trips. At the time of this review it’s $40 for 200 tumbleweeds. I think that’s a decent price for what you get, and I definitely recommend this product.

small but effective

I ordered this box of 200 fire starters to use in our outdoor firepit. It is a great value. They are smaller than others I've used but very effective. I like that they're smaller because I can use 2 or 3 and put them in different spots within my stack of firewood to help it get started evenly. They light up quickly and burn long enough to help catch the logs. I would recommend.

Item description not correct in my experience

Item description reads "Our natural fire starters are crafted with PALM wood shavings and food-grade wax..." The actual box reads (see picture for reference) "made from natural PINE wood shavings and wax...." Product smells like kerosene which is what made me look at the box. If you want this product for starting a campfire it should work fine, but for starting a charcoal grill or smoker for cooking food I would stay clear.

Helps start fire without lighter fluid

This fire starter is made from natural pine wood shavings and wax. I like that I don’t have to use lighter fluid to ignite. I order it for my barbecue pit. There’s 50 pieces in the box and it takes about 2-3 fire starters per use. I just place 2-3 pieces under the charcoal and light each fire starter. This is more of a clean way of starting the fire for grilling compared to using lighter fluid.

Tumbleweeds

I do a lot of wood burning in my house and I really like these tumbleweeds. Some days it's a real pain in the ass getting a fire started in my wood stove and with a couple sticks a little bit of cardboard or one of these bad boys that usually take off pretty quick and makes getting the fire going for the night not too bad. There's one thing I hate is working my ass off all day and then having to come home and dick around with light in a fire for an hour hour and a half. I bought a bag of tumbleweeds brand one and those ones seem to be a little bit bigger but I actually usually always rip those into four different pieces so I kind of like the fact that these things are a smaller because you really don't need a lot of this to get it going sometimes even a couple little strands is enough for me to get it going. These ones I'll probably just ripping half for when I need a nice big chunk to burn for a while but I might even rip these into thirds if I only need just a little tiny bit really depending on whatever combination of sticks cardboard and wood I have at any given time. Overall I highly recommend these they're 100% worth the price in this box you get a boat load of them compared to the tumbleweeds brand one
