I'm unsure why my review wasn't posted, so I am rewriting it.I ordered this oil for an emergency in case there is a power outage. I received two 1-gallon jugs in time with no leaking. The jugs looked deformed. I don't know what all that is about or if it's safe to keep them like that so I placed each jug in an industrial bucket just in case it leaks.I haven't used the oil yet and cannot tell whether it is smokeless. Once I acquire the needed lamps, I will test it and update my review.
Liquid paraffin oil is the best option for indoor use with oil lamps and lanterns. I have many oil lamps and lanterns including ones that are DIY. As long as the wick is properly trimmed on your oil lamps and the wick height is properly set on your oil lanterns, this liquid paraffin oil will burn smokeless. Because there's an open flame, it's important to have plenty of oxygen available when using your oil lamps or lanterns indoors because a lack of oxygen can cause the production of carbon monoxide. I would recommend.
I filled one of my tiki torches with this paraffin oil and it works great. I plan to use it for emergency purposes and occasionally in an indoor lamp and storm lanterns for entertainment/ambience. Would purchase again.
9-14-24 As I've experienced with any lamp oil if your wick is too high when you initially light it you will get a few wafts of smoke and a little bit of soot build up on the globe, this is no different yet it does seem to be less, but it doesn't stink. I think that's the best part is it doesn't smell or stink like traditional lamp oils. So when the power's out and we're using them indoors it doesn't permeate the house, which is nice. Even if you get this on your hands, which seems to be inevitable, it washes off and doesn't leave any lingering scent, as traditional lamp oil does. I don't believe you'll be disappointed, and for myself I will definitely order again. Hopefully my written and photo reviews are helpful, Thank you!
I just started getting into oil lamps and thinking of starting a line using these sticks with this premium paraffin lamp oil. It's so easy to use just pour and light. I've tested one other brand before and this is a better quality burn and last longer. It makes a difference in burn when you get premium anything and I'm glad I can get this. You can add scents to this or burn it non scented. I got the gallon size so this will last me some time but I'm so happy I found this brand. This size makes it very practical to have around. It's smokeless and odorless and I will be using this mainly indoors. I love the ambiance it gives off. This will also be used in my backyard when we have barbecues. With all the mosquitoes I will use this oil with my citronella oil lamp to keep the bugs away. I can see myself using this in more ways with the bigger size. Great value. Highly recommend. This will be used all year long.
